Sim Chi Yin is a Singapore-born artist. Her genre-defying works have been exhibited at Art Basel Hong Kong, the Barbican Centre in London, and biennales in Istanbul, Singapore and Venice. The series One Day We’ll Understand, of which an excerpt appears in Reader 4 of Berlin Review, investigates private and public archives and contemporary photographic documentation of British-Malayan colonial history.
