Berlin Review is a new magazine for books and ideas. Since February 2024, we have been producing eight online editions per year on the drifting present, as well as three printed readers.

Our ESSAYS explore the central topics of our era and through the lens of personal narrative and long form essayism. Our REVIEWS cut through newly published fiction, non-fiction, poetry and other cultural production. Our MEMOS engage with political and social issues of the day, venture into political battlefields and uncover social trends.

Alongside our online and print issues, we produce a podcast, live events and audio versions of a selection of our essays. Berlin Review is produced by Caroline Adler, Tobias Haberkorn, Emily Nill, Eliana Kirkcaldy, Samir Sellami, Katharina Wicht and a motley crew of freelance writers, designers, and producers.

You can either take out an online-only subscription or an online+print subscription. With an online subscription, you have access to all issues, current and past, as well as our audio content. With an online+print subscription, you also receive a printed reader three times a year featuring our best articles and a carefully curated series by renowned artists.

Individual issues are available in our Shop. You can also find us in bookstores. If you already have an online subscription, you can also consider switching to a print subscription (see: “How do I change or cancel my subscription?”).
